I have had a 1994 Lincoln Continental for many years and always have used 87 octane gas (Regular). That is what the manual calls for.
if efi and better then 4.6l runs best on premium yes i know gas prices but best reponse and sound for sure. i agree.

Best bet is to go to parts house and see if they can pull up a diagram of the serpentine belt pathway. Possibly NAPA parts may have this.
each shop that can do that kind of work will charge different prices, check around for the best deal.
Of those 2 , I believe Continental would be better.
