Stop as soon as the device turns off. - The TV should turn off 5. Press # - the remote is now addressed to the TV.
I found a couple of codes in list included with the Charter remote. However, those did not work for my specific TV. However, I was able to use the "Code Search" function in the remote, to get it to work with my TV. When getting into search mode, you are instructed to enter "9-9-1-1". I found that I needed to enter "9-9-1", wait for the TV button to blink twice, then enter "1", and the proceed. I had to hit the "CH +" button about 10 or so times, but it did find the code, and the remote now controls my TV.
