What is ledger line and clef?
clef tells you which lines and spaces are which notes. There are
3 clefs: treble, alto, and bass, Treble and bass are the most used,
alto is rarely used. In any clef, there are a set of 5 lines and 4
spaces in between the lines. In treble clef, the lines are named E,
G, B, D, F, the spaces are named F, A, C, E. In bass Clef, the
lines are named G, B, D, F, A, and the spaces are named A, C, E, G.
Ledger lines are the lines added above or below the staff to
indicate what note it is. In treble clef, the 1st ledger line on
the bottom is C the space below that line is B, the 1st ledger line
on the top is G and the space above the line is A
