There are basically two kinds of device drivers for Mac.
The first kind is provided by Apple in the OS and is part of the system software. These drivers are updated automatically by the 'Software Update' selection. You don't need to worry about those, they are part of what makes the Mac so easy to use.
The second kind are provided by manufacturers of equipment that needs drivers for the Mac. You get them from the manufacturer, usually on an install disk that comes with the device, or from the web site of the manufacturer.
Major equipment manufacturers of peripherals for Mac, such as Brother and HP Printers, or Canon and Sony Cameras, provide needed and updated drivers on their support pages.
When installing a printer to a Mac, first connect the device. The Mac will then search for devices required. Once found, they will be installed and your device should work normally.
You would not normally need to find sound drivers for a Mac. Any Mac OS X audio software should be talking to Core Audio (See links below) to handle sound. Audio devices can be configured with the Audio/Midi Set UP utility found in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder. If you are installing Windows on a Mac you need to ensure you have the latest version of Boot Camp (via Software Update). From the Windows Control Panel you may find a Multimedia Audio Controller device which allows you to Update the drivers this will automatically find and download suitable drivers or you can try the RealTex High Def drivers (See links below).
To connect a Bluetooth device to a Mac you need to ensure that Bluetooth is turned on in the Mac's System Preferences and that it is Discoverable. Bluetooth devices should then find the Mac by its name and pair with it.
Every platform (Windows, Linux, Mac, etc) requires its own driver programs for each hardware device. Drivers are written by the hardware manufacturer for each supported platform.
