Safari is a web browsing program made by apple. It;s similar to Internet Explorer
Safari is deletable, if you have administrator privileges. It is best if you don't. If you want to use another browser, then just use the other browser. Then use Safari as a backup.
Go to Safari, press command+comma together, then general; homepage; choose your homepage
You should try to upgrade it to Safari 3.1.2.
'Home' is a function of the web browser, found in its preferences. You can have a 'Home Page' in Safari, and a different one in Firefox. Safari/Firefox > Preferences > General > Home Page
Same as you do on safari or chrome. Take two fingers, and slide them in opposite directions on the trackpad

The default web browser on a Mac is Safari. The shortcut is located on the Dock. If for some reason it is not there you can find it in Applications.
