If the computer breaks the files can be lost forever. Back Up means to have more than one copy. This can be done done with a CD-R, DVD-R, copy to a website, another computer, pen drive, or other places.

One might need a computer backup tool if they have important information that is sentimental or crucial to their lives. In case the computer crashes, one will not lose their information because they will have another copy.
