i suggested that amd motherboard are used 64 bit processor. Intel are not used
The AMD Phenom II Black Edition X490 is AMD's top-of-the-line mobile processor as of December 2010. Running on a maximum power usage of only 45 watts, a clock speed of 2.4 gigahertz per core, and with a maximum data transfer rate of 35.7 gigabits per second, this processor is one of the best in the world for mobile systems.
No, i have the same motherboard/pc. It's limited to 800FSB. The Q6600 is 1066FSB. If you're still looking for a upgrade the best processor would be a E4700.
The recently releases Intel i7 chipset family consists of the best processors for gaming (ranging from $350 to 1,000).
I have an ASUS P5G MX with dualcore E2180. It is very goodfor my needs. Paulian ROMANIA
You can try Jetway HA series motherboards.......have a look at their website...features are quite good
A 64 bit microprocessor such as Intel 64. These types of microprocessors are compatible with all major popular Operating Systems.
An AMD Phenom xII processor, ASUS motherboard, nVIDIA or ATI GPU, about 4 GB RAM and 500 Gigs of HDD! edit: 500 GB of HDD is excessive. More importantly using a solid state drive would decrease lag. With the added benefit of no moving parts, lower heat output, lower power consumption.
I have Intel E2200 Dual core and gigabyte motherboard and gpu it's the best configuration ever and scored higher on 3d mark than original Nvidia config with msi motherboard or asus.
If it shares the same slot-type and the motherboard supports it, yes. In some cases, a motherboard will support a processor with a higher number of cores than was originally intended thanks to BIOS updates. For instance, Asus M2N motherboards were originally released around the time that dual-core Athlons (Athlon X2) were gaining popularity. They supported single and multi-core processors of the AM2/AM2+ (slot) type by design. With the latest BIOS updates, they officially support AMD Phenom II X4 processors of the AM3 type up to the Phenom X4 945, and many users have had success installing 955s in these boards too. If you are considering installing a dual-core processor in place of the existing single-core processor, it would be best to check the compatibility of your board with such processors before going further.
DDR3 is better at the moment, however to make full use of DDR3 RAM you need a DDR3-compatible motherboard as well as a multi-core processor.
the famous for being ver great i7 is great. but any processor is fine. if you want to play games then you need a graphics card. a processor is for a hardcore internet user. but it wont matter if your using a really bad internet router
