Backup all data on the MMC and format it. Other cards have a switch on one side. Pushing it to unlock will help
Type "mmc" on run menu and hit enter.

To run it, select "Run" from the Start menu, type "mmc" in the text box, and click OK. You will see a window with an empty console.To add your favorite snap-ins to the console, select "Add/Remove Snap-in..." from the File menu. You can then select the snap-in you want (such as the Disk Defragmenter) and click "Add." You will have to do this for each snap-in you want.After you are done setting up your console, you can save the console like you would any other document. Mmc.exe, or the Microsoft Management Console, is responsible for displaying system management plugins. These include the Device Manager and the Event Viewer.
Right-click on My Computer and select Manage or double-click the Computer Management icon under Administrative Tools

These tools are called snap-ins, and they are used for managing the hardware, software, and network components of Windows. Several of the tools are available in the Administrative Tools folder in Control Panel, such as Computer Management, are MMC snap-ins.
you can't because it's copy protected
This is because you do not have permission to open it, or you are on a windows server workstations and that snap in has been disabled. This would appear on programs like group policy editor or disk defrag. You need to open them as an administrator.
