Go to Start-> All programs -> Accessories-> System tools-> System restore
Select "Restore my computer to an earlier time.
Click Next
Select a restore point from the calendar and click Next.
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.
Log on to the computer as an Administrator. Then click OK on the System Restore Restoration Complete page.
Please note- If you are unable to see any available restore point, system restore is disabled in your computer, and in order to enable it, please follow these steps:

Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
Click to clear the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box.
Click OK.
After a few moments, the System Properties dialog box closes.

there are two restore buttons.
1. the middle button of your options in the top right corner of your window. it restores your window to its original size before full screen.
2. another restore button is the default button (differs on different computers) where when held while your computer is starting up will restore your computer to factory new by deleting any files that have been made since the first use of the operating system.

There are two ways to restore your ipod touch. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button for ten seconds until the apple symbol appears. Or you can plug your ipod into itunes and restore from there. The itunes restore is a more complete way to restore.
