At top of screen click on Insert then Symbol and it is among the long list of characters and is technically Webdings: 00C8 orÈ or È in Webdings
In MS Word 2007/2010 go to Insert > Symbol and choose pound symbol to insert at current cursor location.
There is currently no character in MS Word that allows users to add a reciprocal symbol. You could possibly copy and paste a picture of the symbol into the document where you want it to appear.
