The 2000 Mazda Protégé map sensor is located next to the system computer. The map sensor and the system computer can be found behind the kick plate on the passenger side of the passenger compartment.

The map sensor is on the passenger side near the shock tower. Make sure the plastic nipple isn't snapped off.

There is no MAP sensor on a 1999-2000 Mazda Miatas. There is a boost sensor that assists with controlling the EGR Valve solenoid and a few other features, and is located on the passenger side on the lower part of the intake manifold, and says "Boost Sensor" on it. The primary sensor for monitoring incoming air and fueling is done by the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF), not MAP (like Hondas). This is located on top of the stock air box and is a black, cylindrical tube about 6" long.

MAP sensor lives on a bracket right behind the passenger side upper strut mount. the sensor itself is on the edge of the bracket, right next to the power steering fluid resevoir. it will have a 2 wire connector on it, and a vacuum line

on a 2.3, it lives on a bracket behind the passenger upper strut mount. open hood, look back at passenger side rear corner of engine bay. there will be a solenoid right there, too.
It's in front of driver wheel! It is necessary to remove a forward casing (it is attached to a wing) there it will be! It near to system of preliminary cooling.
