If you PC or person computer is having a hard time detecting a USB try rebooting your computer. If rebooting your computer doesn’t help some suggest blowing into the USB port to make sure the dust isn’t blocking a connection. You can also try the USB on another computer to make sure it isn’t broken.
there is no way you must buy a usb adapter and boot like so so the pc will detect the hdd this is not my fault if it doesnt work it works for most pc / desktops

Sometimes Mobile phones require that you install a PC suite or a piece of software to enable the computer to read the usb. So that's probably why.
What can detect your DS? Please be more specific. From what I gather, your saying that the Nintendo WiFi USB Connector (WiFi USB) can dtect your DS but not your DS cannot detect 'it'. WiFI USB cannot detect Nintendo DS's unless it is connected to it. So, the Nintendo DS would have to be able to detect the Wifi USB for it to be able to detect the DS. ThE AvEnGeR
If you mean "install" by connecting to a PC by usb, you connect it to your PC and run add hardware or let it detect your PSP and your computers should already have the drivers or you can download them for free.
