Hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard, then open the MS Paint, press CTRL+V, save it and it's your screenshot.

Use the print screen key, u will get the full screenshot, press CTRL+Pr Scrn button, uwill get active window. but if u wanna capture anything on the screen, the print screen key couldnot help u. So i recommend u try PCHand Screen Caputre. It could help u do this. It offers many different capture modes and a build-in editor. Im using it, it is easy to use, even for a novice. If i am not mistaken there isn't a run key on a keyboard the run key is found under the start if you have windows xp an under the window icon if you have vista.
