Would I need an external hard drive case? I opened up the Gateway and there are no cords that would be able to connect to the hard drive from the Dell, unlike someone had told me. Though I understand because they are two different computers. Answer: Shut down the computer. and then open cabinet and remove hard drive power cable and data cable. and screw. and then install new hard drive.
