The half way point from Buffalo New York to Columbus Ohio is around Painesville, Ohio. On I-90 from Buffalo to Cleveland then I-71 South to Columbus takes about 3 hours for each leg (total about 6 hours). There is heavy traffic on these interstates.

It depends whether you take I-90 or US-62.

If you take I-90 to Dunkirk and then NY-60, the halfway point is Silver Creek, on I-90.

If you take US-62, the halfway point is just south of Gowanda, on US-62.
