Its a Server Developed By Oracle to host any mater of local network HTTP Web Protocol Sites or Web Hosting processes. I have one that was used by Myriad Genetics for some of its proprietary information and research, which it held on the local network for access. Though it is not limited to Local networking or Web Site Hosting, it can be used as a remote storage unit or anything you can find to do with it. I intend to use it to learn penetration testing and server hosting.
If the server can run it, then you can do it. So if you have a music library you can host it privately on the web or make a website. You could host a minecraft server, CENT OS 6 has tutorials specifically for that.
However doing anything with a server requires a bit of knowledge about computers, Linux, Unix and the Command line. So if you know don't w about linux I recommend reading about it before hand.
