Yes
More than anything, I would recommend against overpaying for speaker cables. For a while, Everest offered the Audioquest speaker cable. It cost $21,000 for 3m of cable, and even the most trained ears couldn't tell the difference between the speakers hooked up with the Audioquest cable, and just run of the mill cables reliably. A lot of cables are like this, they have a huge price tag because they know somebody will be stupid enough to buy it regardless. If you really want to splurge, go for a cable with gold coated connectors since they do offer greater conductivity, but there really won't be much if any noticeable difference. My 2 cents.

There are speaker cables, unbalanced analog cables, balanced analog cables, coaxial digital audio cables and optical audio cables.
giant cables and abutments
you don't have to look for a connection with the ports
Ribbon cables are mostly, but not always lower voltage signal carriers. Power cables are mostly larger and carry higher voltage to various parts tht need it.
Speaker cables are made of two electrical conductors usually made from copper. They are encased in a material like plastic or PVC usually to prevent damage.
well yes they are completely different cables, and the hdmi cable only has one cable to connect were for the component cables you have to plug in 5 different cables, but as far as quality i would say they are the same

No, but the HDMI cable also carries AUDIO.
