A fax (short for facsimile) is a document sent over a telephone line. Fax machines have existed, in various forms, since the 19th century, though modern fax machines became feasible only in the mid-1970s as the sophistication of technology increased and cost of the three underlying technologies dropped. It is a basic necessity for you if you run some business. But people nowadays are switching to internet fax. Given the current challenging economic times and tough competitive market, it has become necessary for every business to focus on the ways that are cost effective for their day-to-day operations.
