Memory is technically any form of electronic storage. Personal computer system have a hierarchical memory structure consisting of auxiliary memory (disks), main memory (DRAM) and cache memory (SRAM). A design objective of computer system architects is to have the memory hierarchy work as through it were entirely comprised of the fastest memory type in the system.
They are not as powerful or as sleek in design as Toshibas. In terms of hierarchy in laptops, Toshibas are better built, and have a greater memory capacity.
memory is required to store the data or any information.but the usual computers have very less memory space in them. so to increase the performance of your computer and to access it on a faster rate we need memory hierarchy.

The main characteristics that distinguish the various elements of a memory hierarchy are speed, cost, and size. Typically, the higher levels of the memory hierarchy (such as Registers and Cache) are faster, smaller, and more expensive per byte, while the lower levels (such as Main Memory and Storage) are slower, larger, and less expensive. This hierarchy is designed to exploit the tradeoff between speed and cost to optimize overall system performance.
