With 2 or more computers and a hub, switch, or router. And some Cat5 cable with ends.
Cat5 cable
A modem connects your computer to the Internet. A router takes the Internet signal and splits it up and distributes it to other computers on your network. There are two types of routers, wired and wireless. A wired modem router uses a cat5 cable to connect to the modem and to connect to each computer on the network. A wireless router uses wires to connect to the modem but connects to each computer on the network without wires.
Regular Internet service can become wireless Internet with the use of a wireless router. A wireless router does require the use of a power cord and a cat5 cable for setting the router up with the modem, but the Internet is transferred throughout your network without being connected by any wires. The router converts the Internet signal into WiFi signals for your network. In addition to a wireless router you need to have a wireless receiver for ever computer on your network.
Get a crossover network cable. If you're only connecting 2 computers they can be networked without a server or a router. ==Or== Install wireless network cards in both laptops. If using a router (no server), it should be simply plug-n-go with standard network cables (CAT5+) (enable File & Printer sharing).
a paki
UTP (unshielded twisted pair) Cat5 or Cat6.
A network device or box that provides a central location to connect cables is usually a router. The function of a router is to provided the shortest route for any two nodes on a network to interconnect and communicate.
You don't need to pull wires (e.g. CAT5, CAT6) through the walls. You don't need a network connector on the computer. You don't need to be tied down by a network cable, but can move the laptop around freely as needed.etc.
If you have a router or cat5 output near you, you can just plug an Ethernet (cat5/6) line from the output into your Wii. It should automatically connect after that. Alternative: Wi-Fi Go to settings and find network connection. Scan for access points and if you own WiFi your router should show up. Put your password in and tada! Internet!
your question is confusing. tv has lan connection? for internet? then it should hook up nicely to any router or network hub with cat5 network cable. (cord with what looks like big phone plugs)
no you do not need to be wireless, you can just use a reg cat5 cable to ps3/xbox/wii from router to hook up
