The term "media only" when referring to software means that it does not come with any printed manuals or books. If purchased, there will only be the CD in the box along with a single user license.
If you are looking for a replacement CD because you lost yours, then this is the ideal solution to replace a lost or missing CD.
If you are looking for software that you can install on multiple computers, then "media only" is not what you need. You will have to purchase software that comes with a license. But make sure that the license type fits your needs.
If you are purchasing the software for home use, then this will work. However, you will also have to go to the bookstore and purchase a manual for the software and/or other relevant books so that you can learn/use the software.
