I'm not sure what you are referring to by "disk management." There are many utilities to check disk usage, delete files, and manage space quotas.
To check the hard disk space of a desktop, you can open File Explorer or My Computer and right-click on the hard drive you want to check. Then, select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. In the Properties window, you will see a pie chart or bar graph displaying the used and available disk space. Additionally, you can also use the Disk Management tool or Command Prompt with the "wmic logicaldisk get size, freespace, caption" command to check the hard disk space in a more detailed manner.
Restart and hold down the Shift key as your Mac starts up. This will automatically check some files and stop some files from loading. Open Disk Utility. Select the start up drive. Click 'Repair Permissions.' and let it finish. Restart. If the problem still is there, insert the 'Install Disk 1.' Restart while holding the C key down. It will take longer. The disk utility is in a folder on the cd. Find it and run it. Select the start up drive. Click 'Repair Disk.' Wait. Restart.

Almost all Unix/Linux systems use the 'df' command to find out how big the partition is, how much is in use, and the percentage of the system in use. This command must be used in a command window.
The /s switch with the format command specifies that the disk is to be formatted as a system disk. The /v switch is used to check the newly formatted disk for errors.

chkdsk /r Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information. chkdsk /f Fixes errors on the disk. The disk must be locked. If chkdsk cannot lock the drive, a message appears that asks you if you want to check the drive the next time you restart the computer. chkdsk /p Performs an exhaustive check even if the drive is not marked for chkdsk to run. This parameter does not make any changes to the drive.
