For Mac, or PC?
Yes... but there is no "in-store" disk version for mac. You have to buy and download the mac beta from the website. Also on the website are the minimum system requirements for you to check :)
No, running spore on a mac will not make it slow, but not meeting the system requirements will make it do close to nothing correctly.
There are no separate games for iMacs or eMacs. If a game is available for Mac OS X and your Mac (whatever it is) meets the minimum system requirements then the game will work.

System software, ie Operating System (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) Is the base of the application environment. Requirements for System software means, what hardware you're required to have in order for the operating system to run on your machine. Application software requirements are the same except for OS (Operating System) requirement, some software only runs on Windows, some only on Mac OS. Some run on both and more.
