Well it depends on what you want to get it for school, work, Gaming, etc. If you want a laptop that is more for work and school I would go with a Mac. If you want a gaming laptop I would go with a dell Alienware laptop they are about $750-$1800 but they have some problems I have read about. But I would have to say go with a Toshiba laptop they have good customer service good laptops and you can customize some to the way you want it to be. I had a Satellite L655 not the best laptop it had a Pentium Intel so it was not good for gaming. I like to play games so I customized my own laptop it is very easy to do I upgraded the Intel to an i7 it is the best out their to have for school, work, Gaming, etc. I hope I helped you on what to look for.

They tend to be cheaper then other brands. They come in a variety of sizes, storage, and colors. Yes, I have heard "Horror stories" about Acers, but they problem is usually that the owners don't take very good care of the Acers. Lots of friends and family of mine own them and are very happy with them. Just make sure when buying one to think of what you will use it for. Things like processor speed, RAM, screen size, and weight is what you should consider whenever buying a laptop. P.S. PC.com is a great laptop search engine.
I recommend dell or toshiba laptops but sony are good too
TV tuners are not good for laptops. TV tuners were not built to be used on laptops and could potentially harm the device.
yes but each people have different taste about laptops
i don't think so, ive never heard of epc laptops. EEE PC are good laptops, ASUS is highest quality you'r going to get, good deals sometimes too
Thinkpad laptops are good quality compared to hp laptops. But it depends on business or personal use needs. A thinkpad may be too expensive and a bit overkill in specs for personal use.
This is very subjective as people have different definitions of good. Lenovo's ThinkPad laptops have a very good business reputation with specialist business apps. Apple, Dell, HP and Sony are also considered to be good business laptops.
PC World laptops are comparable to other laptops you can buy at department stores such as Target and Walmart. When you buy computers at PC world, they also come with a very good warranty.
no and yes
laptops are good for a technology room because you can get that specific part in technology classes that you in particular have to make up and that is why they are good in that specific area in a technology classroom.
$300 Dollar laptops can often be very good, especially given the decreasing price of laptops now.
There are a few good laptops for running Windows Vista. Samsung have produced some laptops which work very well with Vista. Acer and Compaq are also two very good brands on which to run Vista.
Office Depot and Office Max are good stores to check out for good laptops. Depending what brand you buy, you may get a good deal. Always look for sales in the papers to get good prices.
