"Four major browsers" are basically four Web Browsers that a lot of people use. As of now, the five major browsers are:
1. internet Explorer --- Default of Windows OS, available for Windows only http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx
2. Mozilla Firefox --- Default of Linux OS, available for Windows, MAC, and Linux http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
