The minimums are based on what you are. If you are a student 1GB RAM and 160GB Harddisk is the basic requirements. If you are a gaming person or a professional who wants fast computer then 2GB RAM and 250GB Harddisk is enough.
1GB is equal to 1024 MB, therefore: 160 x 1024 = 163840MB
2gb (1gb+1gb)
Depends on it's processor speed, graphics card, and processor type as well.

Depends on if you want an internet service plan...if you want that then Verizon Wireless has a $200 netbook with internet plans $40 and up a month...or get an Acer Aspire One for $298...neither have CD/DVD-Rom drives...but they are cheap. and the Acer has 160Gb hard drive 1.6Ghz processor and 1Gb RAM as a basic package...not sure about the HP though
if you are speaking of a mini laptop then they are about the same as reguler laptops but without Vista and have only 1GB ram (unless you upgrade) also they dont have DVD/CD drives and most use Intel Atom prossesors
