ATLEAST A SERVER 4GIG RAM (4 WAY PROCESSRORS) WITH 500 GB HDD FOR AN 1000 USERS ENVIRONMENT

An AMD Phenom xII processor, ASUS motherboard, nVIDIA or ATI GPU, about 4 GB RAM and 500 Gigs of HDD! edit: 500 GB of HDD is excessive. More importantly using a solid state drive would decrease lag. With the added benefit of no moving parts, lower heat output, lower power consumption.
12 GB and 4 GB refer to the amount of memory and storage. The amount of storage is not directly related to speed. In some cases, a computer may operate rather faster if it has more memory but it does not change the raw processing speed.
316 gb320-4= 316
Since 1 GB = 1000 MB, 4 GB = 4000 MB and is bigger than 756 MB.
The specifications for a Compaq nx9600 include, hard drive: 100.0 GB HDD / 4200.0 rpm, wireless capabilities, widescreen, and CPU: Intel Pentium 4 560/ 33.6 GHZ.
8GB is better. The higher the number the more it is, and the more it can store. In computers, the more RAM you put in (Assuming you are talking about RAM) the faster and better the computer will perform
