∙ 12y agoStep 1: Download WMP11 from Microsoft
Step 2: Open it when validate check open just close it
step 3: go to c:drive - program files- Windows Media Player
step 4: Delete the file called setup_wm
step 5: Open wmplayer (hint: the icon looks the same as the one you just deleted)
for a visual check YouTube just type in : Windows Media Player 11 NO Genuine
though this method allow you open wmp11, you still have to delete setup_wm.exe each time you want to use wmp11. so the best way is to write a batch file that deletes this file every time and lunches wmplayer.exe. here is how you do it:
1. open notepad ( start -> run -> notpad)
2. type this text:del C:"Program Files""Windows Media Player"\setup_wm.exe
start C:"Program Files""Windows Media Player"\wmplayer.exe
3. save the file as batch file (change the extension from *.txt to *.bat)
4. open the file
