Yes it is but there is a kindle just for reading books but the tablet can do more than books.
According to Amazon.. "..read for up to one month on a single charge..."
just around 1 month
According to Amazon - you get about a months usage from a single charge.
No, the android eBook reader is not worth it if you already have the kindle fire. The Kindle is the best EBook reader on the market. The android tablet is a want to be. I know that is the case with the tablet they created to try and compete with the iPad. It is hard to navigate within the system because of the poor touch screen resistance. As far as the screen longitivity, I'm not sure. My guess would be that they do not last as long as the kindle fire.
The answer to this varies from person to person, but here are some things that might help you decide. The kindle is for people that like to do a lot of reading. The ipod touch is too small and will strain your eyes when reading for too long on it. If you like watching videos, both the Kindle fire and the ipod touch can do this, but the kindle has a bigger screen so it's easier to watch videos on it. If you listen to a lot of music then the ipod touch is the best choice for you. Both the ipod touch and the kindle fire have apps and can browse the internet. If your priority is mobility then the smaller ipod touch is the best choice for you.
I'll answer your question with another question: How long is a piece of string?
A standard Kindle has a very good refresh rate for an electronic reader, and will display books beautifully, but it can't show you video. You would have to get the upgraded Kindle Fire, which has more tablet like functionality. I am adding to this answer, I have a Kindle fire original and hdx and they both stream movies from Amazon Prime and Netflix and You Tube, there is no room or need to have the video in the Kindle memory when so many are available online as long as you have a WIFI connection avaiilable
The Kindle Fire HD has an 7 inch screen so there is no matter what software an Android tablet has as long as it is a 7 inch one. I would recommend you the Nexus 7 if you wanna go for Android.
It will only take 4-6 hours.Though it depends on how ling you used it.But if its completely dead,6 hours.ope this helps! ;) - Just an interjection. I have a kindle Fire HD 7". When I frst got it I charged it for 24 hours like they said. I can plug mine in to the wall charger and if it's about 10% battery It takes about 30 minutes.
Yes, as long as the student isn't playing games or on any websites.....ONLY!! reading books.
When you purchase add-ons to apps on your Kindle Fire, it always says your purchase is taking too long and it will email when the purchase is complete but it never completes because of poor network or Internet connectivity.
