Windows - Go to the bottom right-hand corner. You will find an icon that looks like a speaker. Click that and change to your desired volume.
Chromebooks - If you look at your keyboard, near the top right, there will be 3 buttons that will modify the volume
go to the fan and blow then turn up the volume if that doesnt work take of the button to the volume and there will be a thing there take it to the store you got the laptop from they will take about 3 days to fix it

As you did not list the model I can only give you a general answer. On most Acer laptops the F8 key is the mute volume control. Press that first as the volume may just be muted. The volume is controlled by the up and down arrows on the bottom right of the keyboard.
