How do you rewrite in tally ERP9?

1) Take the data backup.

2) Create a new folder inside Data folder and rename that folder to any five digit number(make sure that in the same five digit number should not be there for any other company folder).Eg:-12345

3) Come to the old company copy all the files except .tsf files {do not select the tsf.file} Paste it inside 12345 folder >>Right click on Tally.ERP9 exe >>select properties >> copy "Target" path and then, >>click Start > Run> paste 'Tally exe file path (Target path) > (give space)> mention the data folder path> (give space) > type 0 > Enter. Tally will execute >> from company info screen >> press Ctrl+Alt+R >>'Rewrite company' screen will display along with the list of Company >>select the particular company which one you created newly>>It asks for 'Rewrite Yes or No' >>select the option 'Yes' to continue and check the same.

If still the problem continues, we suggest you to restore the earlier back up. You have to restore the back up, which you have taken before corruption of data.
