I think that the pictures are instantly saved to the computer so you can just drag and drop or copy them to wherever you wish. If you have a windows vista, just go to documents and look for the "youcam" folder. There you will find the pictures clear and at a nice resolution. Otherwise, you could click that "start" icon and type in the search bar : "snapshot" and you will find a list of your youcam pictures. then you can open them and add them to your gallery but you will not appreciate the frame size. If you have different versions of windows, then I do not know you could just search or "browse" your whole computer for "youcam" and select the folder or pictures if you see any.
Click and Drag

You just need to go to where it is right click on the picture, select copy or cut, then go to desktop and also right click, and select paste.
If you're on a PC, with no open windows, right-click the desktop and select "Properties". Then move to the "Desktop" tab and there you will be able to select a different background. You may even search your own personal pictures and use them as a desktop background by selecting the "Browse" option.

Assuming you have a Mac with a built in camera... Launch the Photo Booth application. You should see yourself in the main window. Click the big round red button in the middle to take your picture. From the File menu select Reveal In Finder and it will open the folder where your Pictures are stored - this is usually in a PhotoBooth folder in the Pictures folder. The small square buttons on the left below the main window offer options for a single picture, four pictures with a brief gap between each one, record a short movie. The Effects button on the right lets you scroll through and select various special effects to enhance your pictures.
