It lasts for about 6 months, it changes the molecules in your hair to make it straight. But of coarse it won't stay forever. Your hair grows out, and as it grows out it will turn into your new hair. Just like dying your hair.

I have the exact same problem, but unfortunately I don't think there is a way to straighten the hair forever. You could try perming it or using a straightening iron, but these certainly don't last forever, only a short period of time. To be honest, I suggest you try and accept your hair the way it is, and try different hairstyles that make your curl look good- naturally.

There is many hair products that are able to keep your hair straight for prolonged periods of time. But as I have horribly straight hair, and detest it, I think that you shouldn't fret so much of keeping your hair straight. It's the way you were created. Using such hair products and straighteners can destroy your hair after a while and in the end, you will regret ever doing what you had done to your hair.
