How do you make a tilde?

The individual tilde can be found on the top left corner of a keyboard, below the 'Escape' button, in combination with the 'Shift' key.

Alternatively, you can copy one directly from here: ~.
On your computer click on the start button, go to accessories, system tools, character map, choose the character you want i.e. the tilde for the Spanish accent, copy, go back to typing and when you are ready: Paste! Done.
