If track0 of a floppy is bad can you logically convert track1 into track0 and similarly track2 to track1 etc?
It depends on how it's damaged. Track0 may only be one of many
errors on the disk.
It is possible to repair it with specialised software, but the
results are not garuanteed.
You can force Scandisk to repair certain disk errors, but again
it's not certain to work.
You could also try Norton Disk Doctor or similar software.
It is better to avoid floppy disks altogether, recent studies
have shown that floppy disk are becoming less reliable.
Better to get a USB flash drive, you can get a 256MB one for
between £10 and £20.
Or use CDR's they're so cheap now it's hardly worth bothering
with floppies.
