To type letters with accents in Word: Click on Insert menu Click on Symbol The Symbol box will come up. Scroll down until you see the letter and symbol you need. Click on that, it will highlight. Click on Insert (or hit Enter). The letter, with its symbol, will appear where you've left your cursor in your Word document. Press Esc or the X to close. At the bottom of the Symbol box, when you've highlighted your symbol, it will give you the number of that symbol, and the shortcut key, if you want to keep a note of that information.
