Contents pane?Do you mean the Collection Folder? Click on View in the top menu to select Collections. Otherwise, imported media will appear in the Imported Media pane (if you haven't placed it in a collection folder).

The contents pane is the section between the Menu options on the left and the Preview pane on the right side.
The left pane of Windows Explorer shows the drives and folders in a layout called a tree. There is a + symbol to the left of each. Clicking on it shows all the folders stored in that drive. If there is a + beside the folder, clicking on it will show the subfolders stored in that folder. The right pane shows all files and sub-folders in the folder that you are currently viewing with Explorer. Content Pane
The contents of the folder are also deleted. Usually your computer will ask you to confirm the operation If you do delete a whole folder. It can be easily retrieved from the Trash Bin. Or recycling folder
The purpose of synchronization folder is to share the original folder contents to other folders in remote locations. When changing contents in the sync folder the other folders update as well.
# rm -rf Target-folder Will remove the folder Target-folder and all it's contents .
