The computer affected the way people lived in many ways when it was first introduced in the mid 20th century. Computers led to a greater organization and storage of information, making it easier to have many pieces of information and to be able to find it relatively quickly. It has also affected the way we manufacture things. Computers have allowed for a degree of precision virtually unheard of before. Computers can precisely control the direction, speed, and force a tool uses to create a product. It has also affected communications, allowing people to send entire filing cabinets worth of documents between each other in minutes. it has also allowed us to see the people we're talking to through programs like Skype and Face-time. But it this wouldn't be possible without the internet.

The large telescopes all over the world are tied to computers that record everything they see and Astronomers go through that data with a fine tooth comb, those computers also can pin point where in the sky the Astronomers want to look. In the business world knowing a few simple equasions will get you a very detailed spreadsheet with no errors, where if a person were to do the math there may be errors. Computing also made possible being able to gather together in groups in massive multiplayer online games with strangers or friends. I know of people who suffer from severe social anxiety who can interact with no problems in a fantasy world. These people would normanlly not leave the house, or only leave the house for work, because of their disability and MMO's give them a social outlet that's not family. Smartphones are mini computers that you carry around with you. So you have apps like banking and Google Maps at your finger tips.

There are so many changes to our world and every day life due to computing that it is impossible to tell you everything.
