You can only import files that are compatible with Windows Movie Maker:

.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv

You will need to convert that file to one of the file name extensions above before it can be imported into the program.
