You can file share it. Turn on File Sharing on the laptop.
Things you need to know, the name and password of the "User" of the Laptop and the IP address. It's either in the network settings or in the Apple menu /About This Mac/More Info/ select "Network" and then the port your using. Ethernet or Airport.
Make sure the two computers are connected to a network or has an Ethernet cable between them, then turn on file sharing.
On a Mac go to "System Preferences"/"Sharing" then click on the box that says "File Sharing". On 10.4 or earlier click the "Start" button. On 10.5 and above it's auto.
On the upper finder menu click Go, then all the way at the bottom select "Connect to Server". In the window that shows up type in the IP address of the Laptop or the one you want to talk TO. If you don't know it then click on the "Browse" button. It should have the laptop listed, just drag your resume to it, you can ONLY copy TO it, and it will be in the your/ hard drive/Users/(name of the user)/Public/Drop Box.
The short way is , after file sharing is turned on....
Just press the "Command Key" and K at the same time. Upper right of window click on "Connect As..", type in the User name and Password of the Laptop, you now have the Laptops HD on your desktop. Just drag the file over to it and it will now be in the HD or just navigate to the desktop folder, Users/"Name of user"/Desktop and drag it there and it will be on the Laptops desktop. When your through just drag the laptop HD that's on your computer now into the trash and it will dismount. (or just right click on it and choose "Eject")
If you still can't connect and you have 10.5 and above, turn the Firewall OFF.
When your done don't forget to turn "File Sharing" OFF again.

In order to put your resume on your computer you will need a word processing program like LibreOffice, or Microsft Word. You will have to type it manually. There is another method of inputing your resume on your computer. By scanning your resume via a scanner, you will have a picture of your resume, however, you won't be able to edit it if you need to.
