How do people know how good a graphics card is just by its name?
They look at the number and the name first.
They release the higher number of the series of the graphics
cards but as they progress they make alternative graphics cards for
the performance users and finish off with the mainstream users and
start off again with the higher number graphics cards with a higher
number again. e.g geforce 7,8,9,GTX
Many people believe that the higher the number the better for
example
Geforce 9600 GT will beat the Geforce 8800 Ultra but that is not
true
