No. A monitor is the device that displays information. A scanner is a device that is used to make a digital copy of a picture or document which can then be viewed on the monitor, or printed off on a printer.

yes it does this but you might as well get a printer because that is mostly the printers job. a scanner also scans files on to the computer so you just put paper under the scanner and it will copy on to the computer
