Yes Jeff Bezos did create the Kindles and he created them so people could have text books novels anything they loved to for only 9.99 dollars or less and he made them with an E ink display so you could read them in direct sunlight but the kindle I would recommend buying is the kindle touch if you go into its internal settings you can turn the 3g setting on that's what i did to save a 50 bucks and it works amazingly.
