The Format Painter. You can also use Paste Special and choose just to paste the formatting.
It is possible to copy just the formatting of one cell on to others. Normally when you copy you copy the formula, but sometimes you may just want to use the formatting from one cell. So you can take the "formatting only" and apply it to the other cells. This will change the format of the cells, but not what is actually in them.
The Standard toolbar has common activities such as creating a new document, opening and existing one, cut, copy, paste, printing, spell checking and others. The Formatting toolbar has all of the formatting activites, like bold, italics, underline, font, font size, colours, left alignment, centred, right justified and others.
It can show or hide the special characters in a document. These include spaces, tabs, returns, hidden text, non-breaking spaces and others.
Numbers can be formatted in far more than 3 ways. There are various number formats such as currency, percentage, fraction, general, scientific and others. Numbers can also be dates and times. Other forms of formatting include alignment such as left, right and center, and sizes and different colours and other kinds of formatting.
This depends on the program. Most work with text, .txt files. Other programs create .odf, open document format files, whereas others use different types of formatting. Other formats include:.doc (various types).rtf.xml
