What would a motherboard cost for an Acer 3100 Laptop?
Roughly $230. That's not including the cost of shipping. Of course, you can always check craigslist.com, and ebay.com for broken Acer 3100, and 5100, 5110, (they all use the same motherboard, (model #: HCW50/51). I had a mobo go out as well on my 3100, and replaced with a 5100 model, found on craigslist for $50. The screen was cracked, but the computer itself was great. Not only did I get my laptop back, I got a faster processor (the Turion 64). Hope this helps.
