In Excel all formulas begin with the equals sign. If you have used a data table as part of a what if analysis, the formula you base it on will have the equals sign before it and within the cells in the table you would see your formula as a TABLE function using the base cells for your formula enclosed in braces, like this:

{=TABLE(A1,A2)}

However, the { and } are automatically generated. You do not type them in. You only type the base formula in. They indicate an array formula has been used. The table cells have their formulas automatically generated.
