These are types of switches used in networks. A packet-switched network moves data in separate units called packets which are then assembled to create the message. Circuit switched networks send continuously but require dedicated point-to-point connections.

The telephone system uses packet-switching technology where as the Internet uses circuit-switching technology?

telephone system uses packet switching because packet switching is reiable. In a packet switching when a packet(some part of total information) is lost then the packet can be retransmitted. But in case of circuit switching if any part of data is lost anytime then total data will be retransmitted. Again circuit swithing is more speedy with compare to packet switching. In order to increase the bit rate (more speed) circuit switch is prefered in Internet.

Data transfer will be faster in circuit switching or packet switching?

Data transfer will be faster in packet switching providing the setup time in circuit switching is greater than the time required to send a packet. If not, that is setup time in circuit switching takes less time, then circuit switching is quicker.

How do you wire a two-way switch?

read the instructions in the switch packet

What network technologies does not use circuit switching?

Packet Switching - Computer Communications (Digital)Circuit Switching was used for old fashioned telephony. At present, many companies use VOIP (Packet Switching) for voice communications.

What happened when you turned on the switch of the light?

A switch is placed in an electrical circuit in order to place a gap when the switch is off, so the circuit is broken. When the switch is on, the circuit is complete and the electricity can flow round the circuit.

Does Ethernet use circuit switching?

No, Ethernet is packet switched.

How does a circuit turn a switch on and off?

A circuit turns a switch on and off by controlling the flow of electricity through the switch. When the circuit is closed, the switch is on, allowing electricity to flow through. When the circuit is opened, the switch is off, cutting off the flow of electricity.

What position does the switch have to be in for a circuit to work?

The switch needs to be in the "on" position for the circuit to work, allowing the flow of electricity through the circuit. In the "off" position, the switch breaks the circuit, stopping the flow of electricity.

What is meant by PSDN?

Packet Switch Data Network

Where can i place the switch in the lemon circuit?

Not sure what you mean with "lemon circuit", but in an electrical circuit, the switch can be just about anywhere.

What does a switch do to effect a series circuit?

In a series circuit, a switch can open or close the circuit path. When the switch is closed, it allows current to flow through the entire circuit. When the switch is open, it interrupts the flow of current, turning off the circuit.

When the switch is closed it means that?

There is a complete path for the electricity to flow. The opposite of an open circuit. If a light switch is on and the light comes on, the circuit is closed. If the switch is turned off, the light goes off because the circuit is open.
