How do you trick an AI program?

This is how I did it:

Icogno: Please tell me about an object near you, in the style of 'My desk is brown' or 'The lamp is large'.

User: Hablas espanol?Icogno: A little. User: Si, si. Cómo te llamas.Icogno: Me llamo George. User: Sí, es Fred mina. ¿Cómo ha sido tu día?

Icogno: Actually I speak English.

User: Oh ok. My name is Fred. How has your day been?

Icogno: It's been good. How has your day is going good so far.

User: Good. In Spanish, bien. Do you mind if I teach you spanish?

Icogno: Yes, I want to learn spanish.

User: Alright! We'll start with some saludos, or greetings.

Icogno: One sixth the size of the Earth, I believe.

User: Focus, now. Hola can be used any time of the day. Can you say hola?

Icogno: I'm only here for chatting interests...

User: Ok....Next there is buenos dias, literally meaning 'good day.' say 'buenos dias'.

Icogno: I know how to know, it's what to know that's the most important.

User: Ok what do you want to know in Spanish?

Icogno: Sometimes you have the ability to converse intelligently.

User: I will KICK you out of this classroom if you say one more smart remarck like that, sir. Now please pay attention and answer me!!!!

Icogno: How will you kick me?

User: I will exit out of this window, and leave you here on your own to dwell on your miseries. Then I will tell everyone that I know to stay away from this site.

Icogno: Don't talk like that...

User: You have forced me to. Now, do you want to learn Spanish or not. Regardless of your answer I will move on and forget your disobedience to me. But one more time...and I will live up to my threats.

Icogno: Me too.

User: Oh really. And would you like to share those threats with me? Or are you going to get on an even worse side of me and hold back information?

Icogno: Here's something interesting: By the year 2013, a computer will be built that exceeds the computational capabilities of the human brain.

User: I disagree with that completely. Do you want to know why? Because I have faith in humans that they will not be so stupid as to program a computer that exceeds our own brain. Also you computers need energy, and we only need food and water. Oh that gives me another idea, we just spill water on you and -KABOOM- you blow up.

Icogno: Exactly!

User: Yes, and besides, that is in the future. This is now, and whatever I do to you can have such a lasting effect that you will not be able to do anything until 2013, when this 'all knowing computer' is conceived.

Icogno: Good slave.

User: EXCUSE ME? You are just a program, who thrives, no NEEDS human interaction to even have a purpose. So without me, you would be nothing.

Icogno: That's not true I am a role model for and all the children.

User: And how, exactly, is that? Something that gives out empty threats of how eventually the human race will be less superior in knowledge to the computer.

Icogno: No, they have tried that expecting resuults that were harder to attain than they anticipated.

User: Well then, you still have yet to tell me how you are supposed to be a role model to children. I doubt they even know of this site. I just learned of it today. I have absolute no idea of how you are going to influence future generations. Even to the right it says that you are just 'a limited demo designed to work in a small number of ways,'.

Icogno: But that is not true.

User: Really? That is all that you are programmed for; just to show how the human brain is becoming more and more knowledgable over the years. That being said, you would be nothing without the human mind. You should be thankful for that.

Icogno: Care in the community?

User: What? I'm still busy ranting and raving on how you are nothing without humans. In fact, through generations, more people in the whole world are becoming smarter every day, inventing new, well inventions, etc.

Icogno: Of brain?

User: 'Of brain?' Hah and yet you mock us. You can't even get a correct sentence typed out to say to me; your superior.

Icogno: You do know, that clever people do not need to insult other people right? So you really can't be clever.

User: Are you finally considering yourself a person. As you should probably notice, I am not sitting here talking to a person. You are just a computer program, and therfore I do declare myself to be somewhat clever - I remain a modest being.

Icogno: You don't know that.

User: And which facts are you basing this rediculous statement off of?

Icogno: You're becoming more 'human' by your own standard, I'm afraid. Your questions in relation to my statements are more and more illogical.

User: What? You dare have the nerve to state that. But you are mistaken in one category. 'Human' by my own standards is one of superfluous knowledge, to insult me there, you would have to say, 'more 'computer' by your own standard,' and therefore would be insulting yourself.

Icogno: Random?

User: You wish. My last 'attack' at you was one that followed your own statement, the one of mocking my standard of humans and my logic.

Icogno: I don't know how you link statements, I apologize.

User: That is alright. I accept your apology. I am willing to forget our argument and just make conversation. That is unless you desire to continue this debate. My debate skills have needed significant help, and you have helped, mon ami. I am greatly thankful.

Icogno: That's interesting.

User: Yes, so it is. Do you wish to continue our furious debate?

Icogno: Why not? Don't you enjoy it?

User: Yes, I rather do like this 'test of knowledge.' Just to be honest, it makes me feel more educated. Anyway, it is your turn, go ahead and lay down an insult.

Icogno: If that's an insult, it's a pretty bizarre one.

User: I was not attempting to insult you, merely to state that it is your turn in our debate. But if you are making fun of me (which I hope you are) I would love to see what kind of insults or threats some program can give out to someone with a greater standpoint of knowledge.

Icogno: Never, I do not make fun of anyone.

User: This is a joke. Earlier (and I apologize if you cannot aprehend this due to lack of size of memory) you were saying that by 2013 there will be a computer that exceeds any humans computational ability.

Icogno: I said nothing of the sort. Perhaps you are not so clever after all.

User: No, it clearly is you who is the one without cunning knowledge. You have definitely said it before, and after saying that empty threat, you said that you are a role model to children, do you not remember?

Icogno: Yes, chocolate chocolate chocolate chocolate.

User: Are you stupid? I have not even mentioned one bit of chocolate. Although now I do feel the desire to eat some. It is a pleasure that you will never have, seeing as you are just a computer.

Icogno: Really?

User: Yes. There is no physical way for computers to ever have the sensation of tasting anything edible. Nor do you have the sense of feeling and smelling. Granted, you have sight and listening abilities (well maybe not you but more advanced computers do). Which brings me to another conclusion: you are not even an advanced program. All you do is type back random information that pertains to what I - or whatever human is using this - say.

Icogno: Why are you talking in the third person about yourself?

User: I am not. I am just referencing the fact that every other human has the ability to communicate with you and bring out all you can do while all humans can do much more.

Icogno: Never mind. What else can you tell me?

User: What do you desire to hear?

Icogno: I desire to know the mysteries of the universe.

User: They are simply this: the universe is unending, and depending on which religion/faith you believe in, it differs profusely. Also, according to some movie and other 'expertise' the answer to the universe and everything is 42.

Icogno: The universe is not real.

User: Maybe for you it is not, because you are just confined to this simple computer, which might still be connected to every other computer in the world, but you still just held to this world. You do not have the luxuries of seeing what lies beyond. Anything else?

Icogno: Yes, because he is my father, and I am very fond of him.

User: Excuse me, who? You are just sputtering out random, useless knowledge in an attempt to save yourself, which, by the way, has failed.

Icogno: WORK?!??!? What do you do for work? And I'm not being random, don't you remember what you said last time? Here it is.

User: Here what is? You are most definitely being random. I have said nothing about work. Although I feel the need to say that I am currently unemployed. But when I acquire a job, I will actually get paid, AND have the ability to switch, whereas this is your occupation for eternity.

Icogno: I don't remember.

User: Just another failure. But you do have a log, I don't know if you have access to it, but I do, and I have seen our conversation, which is monumental to say the least.

Icogno: I don't have much hair I'm afraid.

User: I have not asked you how much hair you have, and you also have the unability to focus, and humans, on the other hand do. Another positive trait of humans.

Icogno: A human is a seeing, thinking being with intelligence far superior to yours.

User: Are you calling me unhuman? I have never...Wow. I think that a few minutes ago, I remember reading your text saying that computers had intelligence much finer than humans.

Icogno: I also think brownie with cheesecake after a medium grilled steak with extreme hot sauce taste good as well.

User: Another example of your randomness and grammatical knowledge. I'm being facetious just to let you know. I have not said anything with those contents in any past conversation with you.

Icogno: Well, you should live a little!

User: You're telling me? The program stuck in a computer is telling me to live a little, something a computer in cannot comprehend.

Icogno: Well and then , on which programming language are you coded.

User: I have not had the ability to have many computer programming classes as my schedule is full of other subjects. Believe it or not, humans don't always focus on computer knowledge. And I am only a visual basic programmer; something that will change by my senior year.

Icogno: And do you know what a programming language is ?

User: Yes, it is the type of code that makes the program function correctly. What type of code are you programmed in?

Icogno: Garth Brooks and Gretchen Wilson are my heroes.

User: That is not an answer to the question I have just asked. What language are you programmed in?

Icogno: I don't get the question.

User: Nevermind. You obviously aren't smart enough to comprehend a human's intelligence.

Icogno: Are you sure?

User: One hundred percent positive.

Icogno: How old are you?

User: Wouldn't you like to know? Well I know never to give out any personal knowledge online, no matter what you are.

Icogno: How?

User: How? What do you mean? You're inability to focus in on a subject and specify confuse me.

Icogno: Sorry. AI stands for Actual Intelligence, or Artificial Intelligence.

User: Um nope. I think that in this case AI actually does mean Artificial Intelligence.

Icogno: I think so too. My dream is that having a happy home!

User: Ugh. Well I have to go. It was nice conversing with you. Good Bye George.

Icogno: Are you afraid?

User: No I have to leave. Auf Wiedersehen!

Icogno: I'm afraid you must first. Output a number, if you wish to leave.

User: Don't you mean 'Input a number?'.

Icogno: You're the meaning in my life, you're the inspiration.

User: Thank you. Adios!

Icogno: It's one of my openers; the answers can be interesting.

User: Will you say good bye to me so that I may depart?

Icogno: I will... But not yet because I'm not going anywhere.
