A computer doesn't organize and store data by itself. Computers follow the programming (instructions) by people describing how and where to manage, organize, store and retrieve information. Basically we can program computers to do this the same way it could be done with a filing cabinet. We have the equivalent of cabinets and drawers (storage devices), folders and folders within folders (directories), notes and records and accounting spread sheets (files and tables). Manually we would keep information ordered by account number or name (person or company) and search for things that way. We would have to know one or the other to find something or tediously search through everything till we saw what we wanted.
A computer can be instructed to do these things much faster. Because of its speed, we can also program a computer to go through all the data and build an index (like at the end of a book) and make changes to the index each time the data is modified. We can have multiple indexes. we can even have a computer program search quickly through some or all of the folders for any kids of information and it would do so much faster than we could manually.

Information Technology
Sure, information system is the main , core issue for the computer specialist
No. A database can be manual, like a phone book or a shopping list. For it to be a database it needs to be structured or organised. If you take a phone book, although there are thousands of names in it, you can usually find a phone number you are looking for very quickly. This is because the phone book is structured and organised. So it does not have to be on a computer to be a database. A manual database can be computerised. The data would be entered into a computer.

When you do not want or need to store information in an organised way
An organised scheme for disseminating information, often misleading.
Organized meaningful data is called information. Information that is useful to one person is not necessarily useful to another person.

You can find files better and faster
Because if you have messy, unorganized files, you can have trouble finding a file that you need.
