CCNA certification is mandatory to get a CCNP certification. However, you can still write any of the exams from CCNP track without passing CCNA, but even if you pass all the exams of CCNP track without CCNA, Cisco will not give you the CCNP certificate unless you pass CCNA. HTH

Can. As of February 2020, CCNA will no longer be a requirement for CCNP certification.

Cisco announced an overhaul of its career certification program around mid-2019, and prior to the 2019 announcement, Cisco offered 10 separate CCNA certifications in different technology areas. Cisco also has eight professional-level (CCNP or Cisco Certified Network Professional) certifications.

All tracks now start with what's in the remaining CCNA certification. For CCNP, you can now choose five technical areas as next steps

  1. CCNP Collaboration

  2. CCNP data center

  3. China nuclear enterprises

  4. CCNP security

  5. CCNP service provider

Additionally, CCNP has been consolidated into five tracks, including the consolidation of CCNP Routing and Switching and CCNP Wireless into CCNP Enterprise.

The CCNP is an intermediate certification, and there are many free resources on the internet for its training. You can also contact me; I will provide CCNP training videos and books.

From February 24, 2020, you can directly apply for the CCNP exam. The gold content of the CCNA certificate can be said to be very low, so it is very discouraged to obtain the NA certificate, because it will not do anything and will waste a test fee. Not worth it. But you have to know that whether you end up studying CCNP or a higher level CCIE, CCNA is the "must pass". That is to say, there is really no need to take the CCNA certificate now, but the technology must be learned.

You can get the CCNP certificate without CCNA. There is no prerequisite for the exam now. You can directly apply for the CCNP exam from February 24, 2020. The gold content of CCNA is relatively low now, so it is not recommended to take the CCNA test. If you have zero foundation, you can learn the knowledge of CCNA first, and then take the CCNP test. Why are you not encouraged to take the CCNA test? Because it can't do anything, it will waste a test fee. not worth it. But you have to know that whether you end up studying CCNP or a higher-level CCIE, CCNA is a "must pass". In other words, there is really no need to take the CCNA certificate now, but the technology must be learned.

I recommend using ThinkMo to learn CCNP. They have a complete theoretical system, and every step is well organized. Online live broadcast and offline recording are used for teaching. The content of each lesson is arranged by the teacher in detail, and the key knowledge is explained in detail. The logical structure is clear and clear at a glance. If you have not learned the knowledge of the day, you can watch the video repeatedly, and you can also have one-on-one Q&A with the teacher in private

At the same time, ThinkMo's teacher Andy opened free subscription videos on YouTube and TikTok, which can be watched.

ThinkMo is a very trustworthy network engineer training institution.

CCNA is the basic networking course/certification. In the Cisco Academies, that's a 4-semester course. CCNP is the next level. To study CCNP (also 4 semesters), the student either has to have finished the CCNA course, or done the CCNA certification exam. (The course is not a prerequisite for the certification exam.) CCNA means Cisco Certified Network Associate; CCNP means Cisco Certified Network Professional. For more information about the courses, see cisco.netacad.net. For more information about the certification, go to www.cisco.com and search for CCNA. For actually taking the test, go to www.vue.com (the testing center), and locate a testing center near you.CCNA is the basic networking course/certification.
